i did ed1 under bad financial conditions last year without the new initiative
and i do have to admit i was a special case because my parents arent both us citizens so filing out the form may have led to some weird situations, but i managed to take out student loans (that my parents are promising to help me pay off) alongside having a few grants which allowed me to attend 💀 if that's not what you're willing to do then im not too sure, but if it's your dream school then i personally think it's worth a shot- it was mine which is why i did ed1 in the first place. ofc dont take this as a final piece of advice and likely consult with your guardians but yeah
