MIT has extremely strong social sciences (most people would put those two fields into the social sciences), but they tend towards the quantitative and analytical end of the spectrum. For example, a lot (but not all) of the poli sci people at MIT do more policy and quant poli sci. We don't have a sociology major.

the entire way AI works is it takes in numbers like how many cars are being made, their quality, and what changed to figure out if it did something "good" or something "bad" and learns from it

for example, it takes in a number x and a number y and spits out number z; the higher the number z is the better and it takes what it changed that run and keeps it while changing other stuff the next

thats how chatgpt works as well, if puts random words together and says one sentence is better than others

So it really is just writing about something that speaks to you

It isn't necessarily the quirkiness that makes some essays good but rather the way that the quirkiness reflects the real character of the writer
