it just depends on the major

double major + a professional track, u will need to do 5 classes per semester some times

its not necessarily that 5 classes per semester is some insanely hard thing, it just depends on WHAT the classes are and how much out of class work you have. check qreport to see the median and average for out of class work time, and just keep it around 35

for me on some semesters, without a 5th class my hours would only be about 26-27 hours

which sounds boring 💀

my average is about 30 in my four year plan even with some 5 class semesters

Senger's math 231a was 10 and 231br was 13. Kong's (current instructor) 231a was 9. so 12?

Math 145a is kinda wack since the psets are fiendish to do properly 💀, but the instructor is kinda nice? Idk what the qguide will say but I think one would put in at least an average of ten hours a week if they do the class properly.

So like I cant say what's exactly the average? My friends tend to take intense courseloads ( most take fewer but harder)~ so my sense is skewed

But I know some kids who have 20hrs or less

I know it's theoretically possible to get under 10hrs for one semester (prolly not repeatable for every semester)
