I think that Dartmouth will accept from the waitlist this year

Because I heard they overenrolled last year and in 2019

2019 oversnrollment was really bad too

So it would make sense after a year of over accepting to decrease the number of acceptances

And I’ve seeing a lot of Dartmouth cross admits with other ivies that don’t plan on going so

it does make logical sense that after over enrolling 4 out of the past 6 years to try and take it easy on the enrollment size

and it is important to look at the percentage AND the count; like 10.07% WL acceptance rate back in 2013 was 82 people whereas a 4.4% WL acceptance rate in 2022 was 121 people

I didn't do dartmouth bound. But I'd highly recommend applying to any and all fly in programs you're interested in!! Even if you don't go, and even if you're rejected, a lot of colleges still count them as "demonstrated interest" and many give you fee waivers just for applying!!! It's a great way to practice your essays before actually college app season too 💀😭
