I can't see who it is but LinkedIn tells me it is a "Business Strategist in the Higher Education Industry in Pittsburgh"

I am on the CS waitlist, could it have anything to do with that?

I will be honest with u be a bit optimistic but also just have the mindset of “its over”. Someone showed the amount of students admitted for SCS. With accounting for avg yield at CMU, they under admitted is what I found. I forget the exact number they under admitted but they did compared to avg I believe. But the small issue with this like theory is yield fluctuates a lot, so if the yield for this year remains close to the avg yield at CMU chances are there may be more waitlist admits
