Checking reviews of professors is important too, that can also change your experience drastically.
For instance, I'm planning on taking discrete math next semester and the professor is known to be pretty good and has an "ungrading" policy.

On the other hand, my applied stats professor this semester has a policy of making the pass cutoff for quizzes (there are no exams, midterms, final in this class; unit quizzes every week) of 90%+ or even 100% in some cases and has a completely different grading scale.

The only caveat is that some professors are the only ones teaching that section, so for the applied stats course, I had to resort to taking it with said professor because he's usually the only one teaching it (and usually every semester too).

I will say I've heard of grade deflation happen to a friend of mine graduating with a PR major soon. He should've got an A- or smth in a course but ended up getting a B because the professor simply said she couldn't give out A/A- to too many students. It's just really varied

Not exactly. CGS is instead a different option, it's a 2 year program.
You get a gap semester and start in January (so in your year, it would be starting in January 2025). CGS students go to London in the summer after their first semester in the winter and finish a summer semester (that ends up completing 1 entire year). Then you have another year of CGS.

In CGS, you basically complete 90% of all the GE/BU Hub requirements within those first 2 years by taking specific courses, but you'll also take some electives for the major you want to transfer into. If you complete your pre-req courses for your major before the end of the 2nd year, you're guaranteed to switch into the major of your choice and continue with upper core classes as normal.

You'll still graduate with the rest of your class on time in May (so May 2028 for y'all)
