In AP Biology, our gel electrophoresis lab needed electric fields strong enough to pull DNA and RNA to show their molecular sizes. Many of our designs in my engineering classes invoked the use of physics to reach our deliverables; from using the force of gravity to sort marbles based on their mass, to making aerodynamic hovercrafts travel the furthest distance they could.
These small epiphanies, ranging from wait, I learned this in my physics class to haha, imagine if I managed to become a helicopter are what drives me to learn more. Because after all, I can’t create more silly ideas in my head that sound plausible if I don’t learn more.
