If I already reference it in one of my admissions essays is it redundant or a reminder, premise basically is had ADHD very bad in middle school depended on meds, tried getting off in MS, and failed(grades tanked so went back on). In HS I wanted to get pilot license but had to stop taking bc of medical clearance, I stopped taking them and my grades dipped but not a ton, and flying taught me to a certain extent how to focus and I was able to over time go back to high grades if that makes sense

I can't give official advice, since I'm an applicant like you. In one of my essays, I talked about my parents' divorce, how that pushed me towards doing amateur radio to reconnect with my dad and stuff
and i still put info about the divorce in the additional info section
but it was very concise and direct
like the no bs version that you could get from reading my PIQ
but it would take a lot less effort if you read the additional info section if that makes sense
I used the additional info part as a kind of TLDR with some very basic recaps about hte divorce
