#HARVARD VS YALE for Econ/Startup culture?

as for program quality, they are both ivies so i wouldnt worry about that aspect too much
Harvard has a stronger startup culture for sure, econ and quality of education is comparable. Yale is very collaborative and social (esp with the residential college system), but Harvard is in close proximity to many other universities.
But ya one school only? 💀
Tuff dawg
Best of luck with applying, can’t go wrong with either one
Not to be pessimistic but unless you’re a highly competitive applicant, it’s tough to only go for one of these schools, definitely a gamble
Danngggg, you're only allowed to apply to one school?? That royally sucks. Also, I'm not sure about econ programs, but beware that Harvard is extremely cutthroat, based on everything I've heard from people who have actually attended. Apparently something as simple as joining a club is a competition there. That being said, just make sure whichever university you pick is truly your #1 choice, and best of luck to you! 💕
Harvard wouldnt be cutthroat that makes no sense
They have crazy grade inflation
And club applications are competitive at all top schools
Really? Anybody I've talked to said they dealt with imposter syndrome all the time, and often felt alienated by their peers, albeit admitted that they don't regret attending. Also, I understand that.
That is all common at every top school. Its a student issue not a school issue
Maybe I misunderstood what the OP meant then. Yale is a bit more "relaxed" and communal in comparison though, if that's what they're looking for.
Harvard organizes students (dining halls, housing)
yale has similar organizational structure
Harvard is extremely cutthroat
absolutely not true in my experience
Oh okay. Maybe the group I talked to were outliers, then. Sorry about that, I didn't mean to spread false information (or at least make it sound like a common occurrence).
