#NYU Stern vs Northwestern but fr this time

because NU is still a low target for IB
so its possible to break in
NYU is basically dead for consulting
both are fine for SWE
So basically if you think youre most likely to do IB go NYU, otherwise NU is my advice
Id go NU
Odds are youre not gonna go ib
If ur already unsure u will definitely hate it
I’d go nu
To be fair I have no pros and cons to go off of
But I’d have to say that NU has the academics, the alumni network, a better campus imo cause it’s on the Lake Michigan and has a beach (NYU city campus kinda mid, I’d know I’m a New Yorker)
And I consider NU to be more prestigious as well
Unless you are strongly considering a career in NY and prefer NYU, I see no reason to choose NYU over NU
Oh, and NU has big ten sports, they can’t compete with those big state schools but I think it’s fun to have a team to cheer for
i think they're pretty equal to be honest
if you're planning on making a living in the chicago area, without a doubt NU
but if you're in NYC, then maybe it's a toss up
still think NU is the right choice though
Northwestern pros:
Much less competitive
Much more flexible
Better consulting feeder
School spirit
Has Campus
t10 is prestigious?
Lower cost of living
Northwestern cons:
IB feeding not as good
No undergrad business school
Not nyc
Less wall st alum
Less internships opps
Less business prestige
Quarter System
STERN pros:
More wall street alum
Top finance feeder
NYC city life
Internship opportunities
Stern is prestigious?
Close to relatives
STERN cons:
Competitive af
Everyone does internships during the year so you have to as well
No campus
No school spirit
NYU not prestigious
Consulting recruitment lacks
High cost of living
Ill just say again if you're confident you want IB go NYU almost anything else go NU
also just a small vcomment
nyu is def prestigious even as a whole
just not like NU 🥱 💪 🔥
Agreed again
Huhhhhh
This is tough
For IB I wanna say NYU
I do wanna say NYU is a high target while NU is a low target
Also New York is by far more of an international urban center than Chicago, which offers its own benefits
But I think like Eric said, NU if you aren’t set on IB
i will say per capita NU isnt that much worse than NYU for IB
But still NYU is the better choice
