Location/Region: I’m from Texas, looking for colleges preferably in suburb/urban areas.

Major: I’m interested in majoring in CS and possibly a minor in Robotics or EE

GPA/Test Scores: 4.49W/3.85UW, 1540 SAT (740 english/writing, 800 math), 5’s on 3 APs so far, Rank 113/1310

ECS: First Tech Challenge robotics assistant captain/captain, website manager for 2 educational nonprofits, lots of volunteer for robotics & student teaching, precalc tutor, lots of coding projects and app competition honorable mention

Curriculum: No preference, I do want a lot of options though for courses I’m interested in (mostly CS/EE/ME courses)

Size: No preference

Costs: Preferably under 50k but more expensive will work if the school is worth it

Schools You're Currently Looking At:
UTD, A&M, UT Austin, Georgia Tech, Penn State, Purdue, UIUC, UCLA, UC Berkeley, UC Irvine, CMU, maybe stanford or mit?

Be Detailed! I don’t rlly like an environment which is always gloomy or cold that much so north isn’t rlly what I’m looking for. I also prefer more modern architecture rather than something that looks medieval.

I know Harvey Mudd has a FIRST robotics scholarship.

You could go for Emory, Tulane, USC, University of Miami, UNC Chapel Hill (basically Duke without the medievalness lol), Boston University (they keep emailing me about their robotics master's programs so maybe that's popping idk).

I would definitely emphasize the schools that have robotics-based CS programs. At Duke, you can only really do the robotics program if you're in the engineering school. Generally at most schools, people will double major in ECE/CS or EE/CS or whatever equivalent, though the engineering courseload will have a lot more to it if that's something you're not interested in.

@hard grail i saw you on another post but do you think it would be worth it to do cs + x at uiuc instead of just cs
