so it doesnt become a chance me
what help do you want exactly with creating a college list
sounds like u know what u want alr?
Everyone has some preferences about where they want to go to college. Diversity? Weather? Coastal/inland? Architecture? Color scheme? Whatever they are, please make sure to list it as much as possible—the more preferences and specificity you describe, the closer we can match our suggestions to colleges you might be interested in attending. Saying “no preference” isn’t helpful (and probably isn’t true, either!).
this is also of worth
pitt!!!
they have a bs/md program that is extremely hard so that would obviously be a reach but just getting into the bio program would be a target for you. extremely strong in pre med and have a hospital that’s #1 in the state
Cornell, emory, lots of LACs (not quite fit for solid bio but definitely good for premed), union, boston u
are cornell and boston u even worth applying? im pretty sure ill be wasting money given how hard they are to get in
oh apologizes
reaches are reaches for a reason
if u dont particularly like them and have other reaches u wld much rather go to then dont apply
i just want to save money for undergrad really, but my parents are demanding me to have t30s or so and want me to apply to all of them
they want me to create a massive list aswell and im just lost at this point so that's why i was asking you guys
why massive?
are they making u shotgun an insane amount
or so that u guys can narrow it down together
they are unfortunately
ok if they gonna make u shotgun anyway go by like us news rankings of colleges good for bio
for safeties do like ur state flagship and colleges that are less selective but still good
and fit ur criteria
if u have strong essays ur gonna have at least a shot at reaches too theyre not j gonna be like absolute guaranteed rejections iykwim
Do you have any ideas for targets and safeties specifically? I get the jest of what I should look for, but any suggestions would be great.
CWRU is good for pre med I'm pretty sure. Idk if it's a target or reach tho, probably in the middle
As for safety's, just pick a local college that you like that isn't competitive. For example I'm from MI and applying to Central Michigan as a safety
yeah state colleges r solid safeties
lots of resources
boosted chances cuz instate
i would say u only need 2 or so safeties if they are truly safeties so i wouldnt worry abt that part too much as long as you genuinely like ur state flagship as well as just state schools in general
