oh no TT do you know how i can get it back, i spent a while thinking and writing that post
I've read somewhere that mods can get it back for you, but I'm not sure how ;-;
CHeck this post: awesome LACs vs. macaulay honors CUNY baruch
(look it up in the school-x-vs-y channel, the mod name is natalie I think?
I have faith your words will be found!
i hope so i spent so long writing it TT
Schools: UC Riverside, San Jose State University, California City College TAG to UC Davis or Irvine
Intended major: Business
UC Riverside (Business Economics)
UCR Pros:
- pretty good aid
- i hear they have a pretty okay business program although not great
- school atmosphere seems nice
UCR Cons: - heard that school name kinda matters in business and ucr name rep isn't too great
- its pretty far from home + i know no one going to ucr
- even with aid i'd still be paying quite a bit
San Jose State University* (Business Administration)*
SJSU Pros:
- not bad job/ internship opportunity overall + close to bay area sf
- not bad business program
- a lot of friends are going there
SJSU Cons: - no aid.. like zero aid, not a single cent
- still unsure about job opportunity for business majors and future jobs
- again school name rep seems important and idk how good sjsu name is for business majors esp outside California
CCC TAG to UCD* (Managerial Econ)* or UCI (Business Economics)
CCC TAG Pros:
- it's free, no cost
- guaranteed admission into a UC after 2 years
- i can stay at home and won't have to think about costs for 2 years
CCC TAG Cons: - i'm not sure how confident i am that I can keep high grades and stay strong for 2 years to get all the credits i need to TAG
- i want to get summer internships or internships during the school year ( paid or unpaid) but idk if i'll be able to find some if i go to cc
- scared ucd or uci will change their requirements or block off majors while i'm in cc and prevent me from tagging in
- i'll have to stay at home for 2 more years while everyone else I know is independently living life away at college
- if i TAG UCI i can't tag into Business Administration but I'm also interested in Business Economics so i'm pretty sure i can tag there.
Tiebreaking considerations:
-whether or not it is relatively easy or super tough to get job opportunities / internships during schooling and also after when i've graduated
@wheat linden in the future, please stay under the 35 line limit by using multiple messages as stated in #954425814378766426
tysm, i will TT sorry about that!!
CC
if you need some type of prestige in the business world, ucr and sjsu have none
you'll 100% want Haas if going into finance/consulting. the rest of the UC's don't even come close to matching its name
that's true but acceptance rates only get lower every year and I'm afraid of the thought that by the time I apply in a year or two I might not get in and be stuck but I think I'll risk it
ucr is always easy to obtain
