#Duke vs full ride at the University of Richmond for premed

you're going to med school
ask anyone
the NUMBER 1 important thing for med school is GPA and MCAT and other opportunities
school name don't matter
at URIchmond you literally have
a full ride
like
if you’re going to med school take the easy 4.0 + research opps + mentorship + full ride anyday
its insane
exactly
Like its so hard to understate just how good of an opportunity URichmond is for med
first an unrelated question: was it from the duke waitlist?
onto the rest... With the goal of med school, this gets a lot harder. Full ride vs. prestige is a tough pickk but I think that the UR scholarship's 'assistance with finding internships/shadowing' is a slight edge to UR.
All of that help from UR is insane, my god, I think you’ll find more success from a school willing to support you that much
UR full ride buddy
Omg a fellow richmonder
Im literally at VCU rn 💀
also personally id go UR for pre med but ngl i see why u wanna gtfo
also VCU while beig pretty mid overall is good for medicine being like the only Level 1 trauma center in central VA is very respected
id say for wut u wanna do giving up the undergrad prestige is worth it in this case, can save more towards med school, not completely displace ur life (moving is hard trust me) and have significantly more support from ur school
UR, if you're going to med school and it's free
all imma say, just bc i have personal experience on this front, if you do BME at duke and get a 3.0 or higher - it's essentially guaranteed admission into duke med
