USC CSBA
Pros:

  1. Very flexible with majors
  2. Great social life and very fun
  3. You can take core CS and Business classes
  4. Amazing location and weather (can go outside more)
  5. Also wanted to stay in Cali for college
  6. Incredible alumni network
  7. Better business program than UIUC
  8. Great for entrepreneurship (what I ultimately want to go into)
    Cons:
  9. Long time to get out of debt very expensive (90k annual), being in debt bad for entrep. pursuits
  10. Not very safe outside of campus
  11. Less cs courses at expense of pursuing business degree
  12. Very practical cs oriented (I prefer theoretical)
  13. Idk if I need to do business undergrad when I can do mba
  14. Will probably need rando roomie (could be pro)

UIUC
Pros:

  1. Significantly better CS program
  2. Huge campus
  3. Guaranteed cs major
  4. Can possibly get bs in 3 years with my AP Credits
  5. Cheaper option (59k annual)
  6. Stronger students (from what I’ve heard)
  7. Great social life like usc
  8. Solid major switch options if I don’t like major (DS, physics, applied math)
  9. Would alresdy have good amount of friends and roommates there
    Cons:
  10. God forsaken weather (I’m from cali lol)
  11. Harder to pursue an additional major or minor with cs
  12. City in the middle of nowhere
  13. Cant play sports very often cuz of weather
  14. Far from home

uiuc is much cheaper + elite at cs I think it’s a no brainer unless the weather is a huge factor for you

#

congrats for getting into cs btw that’s impressive

price idt will be an issue, but yea the ROI on UIUC is way better I think I agree

#

would you still stick with UIUC if I were trying to go down the entrepreneurial route? Ik USC is better for business so that's what I'm not sure ab

I think since you like theoretical stuff and can graduate (possibly) in 3 years from uiuc, consider doing a bs in cs and then an mba after some work experience. Plus the debt is something you don’t want. As for the sports issue, that’s something you’ll have to weigh against your future career plans
