*Notre Dame (Mendoza)- 2.3k/year loans/WS

*Pomona- fullride-ish

*Williams- fullride-ish

*USC- 6k/ year with loans/work study but I got another scholarship but I don’t know the amount??

*NYU (Stern)- 34k/year with loans/work study

*Vanderbilt- 0 w/ work study + 6k scholarship for “immersive experiences”
CONTEXT
I am FG Latino male, planning to major in something business and double major/minor in political science. I honestly do not know what exactly I want to do, I just know I want to make money. I have separated parents who were never officially married. Mom is my custodial parent and she does not make that much— 30ish. I got great aid, but my dads income increased a lottt this year. Tbh, he’s not good with money and has a lot of expenses, so I don’t expect him to help at all, neither will my mom. That is one of the main reasons I applied to Vanderbilt, as they only require one parent income. I honestly don’t know how much it increased by or how it’ll affect my aid.
I would prefer some cultural diversity and stuff to do in the college or at least the area around it, but it does not make or break. I will go for whatever is better for me in terms of $ and opportunity.

Vanderbilt:
Pro:

  • BEST/STABLE aid
  • Nashville is fun I hear
  • Good school, although idk for business fully

Con:

  • Tennessee.
  • No undergraduate business program. Their main/closest major is HOD but I got in through a different school meaning I’d have to transfer.

USC:
Pro:

  • Diversity, Opportunity, Weather, and life in Cali
  • Closer to home
  • Campus Vibe/Culture
  • Selected for honors college
  • Great and rising business school (but⬇️)

Con:

  • Cali… expensive
  • I didn’t apply to Marshall😡meaning I’d have to transfer
    Notre Dame:

Pro:

  • Great business school
  • Campus Vibe/ Culture

Con:

  • Difficult/expensive commute
  • Depressing weather
  • Boring city/state

Williams:
Idk the first thing about Williams except that it’s small and good for finance/ business. I think I would do good if not better in a small school/ but kinda want a larger school experience.

I wouldnt consider nyu or notre Dame. NYU is too expensive. Notre Dame has the cons u listed but if you are wanting cultural diversity like u said it’s not the best. It’s a mostly white Catholic college

tbh i would go williams just bc v happy students, v strong econ program, v strong alumni network, and v good aid

#

also 1 on 1 classes with top professors at williams

#

would go Williams/Pomona/Stern easily

#

USC and Vanderbilt aren't worth considering over the LAC full rides
