Schools: Rutgers and Purdue
Intended major: CS
Purdue:
Pros:
- Better ranked Academically
-More prestige/ more social status among my highschool peers
-No low iq idiots who go there/ Academically driven people
-In an Area other than New Jersey - better looking campus
- better job prospects will get higher paying job
- better sports teams that actually win
- university is not on strike and is not broke
-Actually investing in education instead of football
-better buildings at least on the outside
cons:
- More expensive :15k more
- Not my major: I got into FYI which means I can do Compe but not cs. This is a major concern for me as I am not a fan of circuitry and doing less programming is a deal breaker for me. CompE is also a lot harder than CS is.
Rutgers:
Pro:
-Can actually major in cs and take cs classes: For example at purdue data structures I would have to take third year in c as an ece major, whereas at rutgers I take it first semester
-Closer to home
- cheaper
- More chance to get laid(male to. female ratio at rutgers 46:54, compared to 55:45 at purdue)
-Location ( 1 hour drive from NYC and Philly) - Worse career fair than purdue, but if you are top of your class it is pretty good.
- Better social life
Cons:
-1/2 my school goes there and many dumb brown fuckboys from my school that bully me go there
-University is in chaos and riots are happening because it is to broke
- Rutgers is not a good school to cs recruiters because everybody in NJ goes there and it is not prestigious
-My friends will think that I am dumb and will lump with everyone else who goes to rutgers even though I have no other choice
-Bus system
-Bad academics Rutgers is prob T50 CS , but Purdue is T10 CompE
-Bad Football te

-Boring campus and outside the campus is not safe in downtown New Brunswick
-Rutgers overall going to be going down in the future because of lack of funding as evident by strikes, but purdue will continue to only get better.

Bro if you aren’t sure about CompE (you specifically said you didn’t want to do key parts of that major), you shouldn’t do CompE. Also CompE is not the same thing, the jobs are the same but they are different skill sets.
