Not as big as Florida

Prestigious to people instate (best suny)

UB is a top SUNY alongside Bing, you aren't really giving up a ton between them. Buffalo is also a fun place to live when you're young
(I grew up in Buffalo btw)
I also just visited Bing over break and was impressed

UF is something like 20k more than buffalo im definitely leaning towards Florida more than the sunys

tbh the sunys are great but I do feel prestige matters
Even for state schools
If it didn't then UCLA and Berkeley wouldn't have these low acceptance rates
I'd personally say that Florida's strength lies in flexibility
A lot of classes- especially gen ed ones- are offered online, which allows for a more flexible schedule
Location also isn't really a minus anymore because Gainesville has grown into a small city; its no longer just a college town
There's also emphasis on AI and ppl from a lot of different majors can interact with AI and get AI Certificates
And there's also lateral admission into honors, which gives you access to a ton of amenities
