hi
How does the fin aid work for OU MHSP?
Why is it dependant on the MCAT?
Do you have to get a certain score to get more scholarships?
yes i need a good mcat at mhsp for med school scollys
ah okok
all merit based (i got no fin aid)
I thought the point of BSMD programs was that you didn't have to take the MCAT
or am i mistaken
but 60k is a lot of money
My vote is OU
Cuz you can apply to other med schools and its cheaper
yeah ofc!
OU
A lot of people are parroting shit about having to take the mcat but you alr got a 1560 on the sat so I don’t see 80th percentile mcat being particularly difficult for you. And I really don’t see much of a difference between a 6 year and a 7 year bsmd program. Maybe if you had to pay significantly more tuition for the extra year it’d be problematic but money doesn’t seem to be a concern with OU so why the rush. Way less expensive, more flexibility, better environment, higher chance of maintaining a 4.0, more vacation, and more prestige. It’s also a d1 if you’re into sports
A large cohort would give a sense of solidarity/community to help motivate you throughout uni. You’ll be able to make friends without one like most people do but I can’t deny that it’s def a plus
And homesickness might be an issue depending on how significant it is. I can’t really gauge that for you cuz I personally want to leave home
That’s my two cents ig
