URochester:
Pros: Unseenable prestige, somehow ranked 36th but no one knows this college lmao.
Seems to be good in Optics but idk if I’m going in there. 30k/yr tuition campus looks really nice. FIRST merit scholarship( calculated alr in the 30k total)
Cons: Didn’t get the 5 year GEAR bs/Ms program, tuition doesn’t seem to be negociable. In the outskirts of NY, looks like lack of internships. Engineering ranked mid: like #68
Stonybrook:
Pros: WISE Scholars with possible merit scholarship but idk, considerably the cheapest option of the three. Decently well known and at school kinda a feeder to this college so I will know ppl already.
Cons: Older dorms have a bad rep, nothing much with robotics or formula sae club fun, no prestige ( yes I have Asian parents)
RPI:
Pros: Prob the best engineering wise when ranked at #33, and decent prestige at #51. A lot of robotics and engineering resources. Lots of CNC machines, 5 axis, big money in machines. Formula SAE team and i know high school alumnis there. Has relationship with FIRST scholarship 37k/yr offer rn but i can prob negóciate lower hopefully.
Cons: way more guys than girls (I’m scared) old principal and administration was clown( heard they got a new one this yr tho) in troy but place seems nice, kinda a capital area next to Albany. No clues on resources like internships or opportunities
