USC Marshall
Pros:
- prefer LA over SF
- more “fun” while still being good
- more social scene (what I’ve heard)
- probably easier to be closer to top of class
- I love cinematic arts and would love to take classes at SCA
- already submitted housing app and guaranteed one of top two choices
- amazing sports facitilies
- decent Jewish life
- Highly ranked for accounting and 5 year accounting program
Cons: - university of spoiled children
- not as highly ranked as Berkley
- the Marshall curve
UCBerkley
Pros:
- VERY highly ranked in finance, IB, entrepreneurship
- literally only the rank
- networking?
- recruitment
- does some joint stuff with Stanford
Cons:
- have heard about a lot of antisemitism
- didn’t like SF that much
- depressing (appaz)
- intense work environment (appaz)
- no social life? (Appaz)
- not guaranteed to get into Haas
Tiebreaking considerations:
- if I just knew more about life at Cal without a biased opinion from students who just want to complain about their school
- I would like flexibility in my education
- I’m lucky that price is not an issue at hand
- I would like to live/work in NYC after college
(Pls also give other pros/cons to add)
u forgot about cost of tuition
No, that’s the last bullet point
90k is insane
Dude I just want to consider the other factors. Not price, ik america is expensive, im coming from two countries one thats 9k a year and one that has free university, so I know what I’m getting into. I would just like to make this decision based on other aspects. Price for Berk is 70k as well which is also high af
Oh shit. Thought u were in state. It’s like half that
Nah sorry I forgot to mention I’m intl from the UK
