#UT Austin Turing Scholar vs UVA cs vs UCSD physics

The uni’s in Austin
One of the most liberal/progressive cities in America that’s booming with job opps. You really will never have to venture out into “real” Texas
And Turing gives u so many resources
Regarding the land thing, you can just buy land in other states if that actually passes which I highly doubt will happen
If it was regular UT, it’d be a much tougher decisions. But Turing is a really great program
And you can always find your own scene. Austin’s a big city, so frat culture doesn’t control the city like it sometimes does at uni’s in small towns
are you a texas resident/ut student?
No i got in, but i’m going to my in state school. A lot of my friends are in Turing scholars tho
If ur aiming for HFT, Quant it’s by far the best of the 3
If u got into ucsd cs
It’d be MUCH tougher
yeah
But physics, i’d do ut instead
got second majored
Great school
But expensive and not great at CS
UT T10 at CS and Turing is honestly T5 Quality
Tough call
I would say turing cause of the opps associated w it
Ur not gonna be struggling if u do uiuc cs + math for quant opps lol
I would recommend visiting both uni’s tbh
Both give similar amazing opportunities and ur gonna be there for next 4 years
Get the vibe as they’re both amazing uni’s
Uiuc seems to fit ur vibe more but u should visit
Yea np
(late response but) nah that's absolute cap lol
half the reason uiuc sends those kids is cause of location
ok sorry ngl I misread your comment
best of the 3
but honestly I doubt that turing actually makes a difference
idk man
I'm willing to bet it's all selection bias
my friends at turing work at Jump and HRT
prolly idk
like ur not gonna STRUGGLE at any of the schools
idk what his goal is tho
and where he wanna lives
he should prolly pick uiuc based off his vibe
