Schools: BU vs UIUC
Intended major: Finance + Entrepreneurship (More emphasis on entrepreneurship)
Similarities: Ranking?

BU Pros:

  1. Boston turns me on
  2. Love the campus being integrated with the city, I believe it'll help me be more responsible
  3. Prestige?
  4. Better hiring

Cons:

  1. Ranking is around 15 for business (poets and quants)
  2. Is the atmosphere at BU dull?
  3. 80k per year

UIUC Pros:

  1. College town
  2. Finance + DS program seems great but new
  3. Ranking is 12 for business (poets and quants)

Cons:

  1. Lesser recruiting for finance/ business
  2. No prestige for business
  3. City is a bit dull?
  4. idts 65-70k per year is worth it for uiuc business

Tiebreaking consideration:

Opportunities, startup facilities, recruiting, median salary, would like an investment banking job during summers and a lively campus vibe

Context: I'm an international and cost of attendance is not an issue

I'm still awaiting umich, upenn, cornell, nyu (ed defer), berkeley, already rejected from usc and ucla
