Location: Preferably something within 4 hours of southwestern connecticut

Major: Either International Relations or Political Science, but I’d be open to similar majors like International or Global Studies

GPA: 3.2, but discounting my freshman year makes it a 4.3 (distance learning was ROUGH.)

Haven’t gotten my SAT scores yet, but the test wasn’t too bad so I’m thinking I got around a 1400🤞🏽

I’d appreciate a college that isn’t too rigorous- I love to learn, but I have issues with anxiety that cause me to get overwhelmed easily. I’d want the rigor to be relatively high, just not Harvard level, you know?

College size: Small to medium (coming from the biggest school in CT and my guidance counselor doesn’t even know my name ☠️)

I have 25k ready to put down for each year of undergrad, but I need a college with good financial aid opportunities to help me with the remainder

Some schools I’m currently looking at are:
UConn (my state school)
UMaryland College Park (for its amazing Farsi program!)
American University
UCSD
URI
UMass Amherst

Rank doesn’t really matter to me when it comes to colleges, so please comment any schools that have good programs for what I want to go into!

check out George Mason! it's very close to DC (Virginia) while not DC-School expensive. Depending on SAT score you could high-reach for Gtown

in terms of rigorous GWU isn't too rigorous my sister went there and she says she had a pretty good student-work life balance

freshman year isn’t as significant especially for us since we still will have the commonapp covid section to fill out and explain what we may have gone through during the covid education years
