I got rej from ucsb and ucsd 😦 but admitted by uci. uci actually is my favorite school among these at first place, but after I saw some comments that compared these three schools on the internet… I was influenced by those comments, so I wanted to ask you guys’s choices.
(Talk about everything from the geographical location, academic pressure, learning experience, professionalism, teaching resources, etc.)

if I had the choice between all 3 for cs, I would pick ucsd
it has the best known stem programs out of the 3 and research, and a more stem focused student body. also near a lot of good attractions, in an area with low crime, and it is very near the ocean
I think uci is pretty decent too if you're a Chinese person, as it is known as "University of Chinese Immigrants"

ok, this making me more unlike uci and feel regret about it 😩I don’t want to go to the school that has many Chinese… by the way my major is sociology and I plan to change my major to like stats, maybe(better to find a job)

dw it has a lot of latino people too
it appears to be very dominant in chinese and latino people

but uc have reduce the acceptance rate for international students recent years, will Chinese and Latinos not be that much in the class of 2027? I love more diverse schools

that would probably result in the increase of latino
bc uci said they want to represent the ethnic makeup of the state
but I'm not completely sure how it will look- each uc sets their diversity targets separately
"international" is not classified, but is primarily chinese at uci
so 52% primarily chinese and some indian, then 26% latino/white hispanic
