(i am a senior who’s already finished my college apps- my bf is a junior and i’m hoping to help him build his list!)
Location/Region: currently lives in kentucky, but would like to apply to schools both near home and in the northeast
Major: biochemistry or chemistry
GPA/Test Scores (optional): 3.6 gpa, 30 ACT
Size: looking for a small liberal arts college vibe preferably
Additional: definitely would need an lgbt friendly college, also a big fan of nature so leaning towards a rural area but willing to look at a more suburban area
looking for some realistic reaches, targets and safeties!
#junior interested in biochemistry

if location wasn't a factor, some of the UCs or uwash seattle would be a great fit
they're certainly realistic
there's also UMich
in the northeast
unc chapel hill
UW madison
uiuc
all decent options
i’m personally biased since i’m going there for biochemistry through early decision but haverford college is worth looking at as a realistic reach
it’s a small (1400 students) liberal arts college in the northeast (suburban outside philadelphia), nature-y (they advertise having a 6:1 tree to student ratio, the campus is an arboretum), definitely lgbtq-friendly and known for being strong in the sciences for a LAC afaik
expensive but they give great financial aid
haverford is awesome
if you could get in
that was one of my favs during my senior year
sadly got rejected
yeah it is pretty cool
i was actually considering umich if i didnt get into haverford lmao
but anyways
thanks for the recommendations! i actually applied to haverford rd myself, hoping to get in!!
@tranquil sapphire look at Carleton
It’s a slight reach but it’s rlly good
82 percent of students at pre med make a med school
School supports all students regardless of rank
Really lgtbq friendly
Really good reputation for lac
Ranking (if you care about it honestly this is useless) is at 6th place
