#Colby vs Bowdoin

From what i've heard and in my opinion, Bowdoin is a tier above Colby. Both are absolutely gorgeous schools with amazing academics and are among the top LACs. but I think Bowdoin is the number 3 LAC in the country while Colby flirts with top 10
Bowdoin>>>>
Ok whenever Colby plays bowdoin in hockey everyone in bowdoin says safety school over and over
So ….
bowdoin all the way for most majors
What would you say Carleton is at for rankings @tiny ember
Williams, Pomona, Bowdoin, Swarthmore, Grinell, Carleton
Wait Grinnell at 5th?
What about Amherst
Amherst is up there but I like grinell better
Obviously these are just my personal preference rankings
Bruh you ranked Grinnell above Carleton
Their similar in level
But personally I like Carleton more and I think it is slightly better
Fair
I would rank similar to this but would put Wellesley 1 above or below Grinnell and move Carleton above Grinnell
Obviously it’s biased cause im going there this year
No offence to grinnell but Carleton, Middlebury, Harvey mudd and Middlebury as well as Wellesley are classified to be in the top 10 with Williams Amherst Pomona bowdoin and swarthmore
Grinnell is like number 11
But there isn’t like any difference between any of the top 10 lac and grinnell in job placements grad schools or anything
True i guess i'd just rather go to Grinell than those
Harvey Mudd is actually quite good but i didn't wanna include it cause stem specialized
fair
carleton is insane for some majors
imo it's williams amherst pomona (maybe) bowdin and then carleton
Fr that’s why I chose to commit there. I heard it’s really cracked for pre med
actually personally im a bigger fan of amherst
but
most people will tell you they're basically the same
nah bro if you get accepted there
i'm pretty sure you go there
that school is absolutely incredible
I already commited
plus you can take courses from pomona and harvey mudd
Got lucky in ED1
Wait that’s Claremont Mckenna not Carleton
Lol
carleton... i need to look that one up
The only downside is the location which is in Minnesota
i thought you meant Claremont
Lol
Claremont is insanely good
For economics and stem
and med
that school has like
100% acceptance rate into med school
or so i've heard
No way that’s insane
but judging from rankings alone, where you're going is also incredible! i just don't know anything abt it sadly ðŸ˜
Lol I get that a lot
im not even joking that's what everyone say
People in my school treat people who get into NYu as gods while people think I’m going to a CC
It’s kinda sad tbh but I’m pretty happy with my choice
Yeah cause 100 percent seems way too good to be true
i personally am not a big fan of NYU
I think that might be the highest acceptance percent
It’s good for business and arts
But I’m not that big of a fan of the large class sizes
me neither
that being said i might end up in umich
so i'll be swallowing my words
if that happens
lmao
Umich is really good
Which schools did you apply for transfer?
Ah nice hopefully you’ll get into them
mich is semirealisti
which school r u in rn?
it is good
Nah you have a good chance
W
not great for my major
oh ic
just tryna challenge myself more
it all depends on what you want to do with your life and goals
I’m pretty happy about it’s ranking and it’s pre med program
bruh not the weather ðŸ˜
Like we’re tied with Bowdoin which is crazy and we’re ahead of Claremont
i don't like cold but i've end up in like every cold place
Lol. I will transfer out if it’s too cold for my liking
it's not exactly all based off of usnews rankings
i would say
Lol true, it all depends on best fit
And the program
yep
Tbh rankings don’t matter
The top schools are all similar to each other and at the end of the day it all depends on preference
right
Anyways I wish you luck with your transfer
Hopefully you’ll make a very good school that you would like
Uroch is already really good
its very comfy here
