I got deferred from UMiami, and am considering ed2.
I got accepted to Rutgers New Brunswick.
I got accepted to Northeastern Global Scholars. I am planning on going Premed.
Rutgers pros:
Friends might go
Close to home
Cheaper (in state)
UMiami pros:
Smaller Uni (smaller classes)
Location (Miami)
Better ranked for Premed
Neu Global Scholars pros:
Co-op
Smaller uni (smaller classes)
Location (Boston
Good for Premed
Rutgers cons:
Very large
Bus system
Ok for Premed major
Not a fresh start
Miami cons:
Far from home (not rlly a big problem tho)
Cost
Neu Global Scholars cons:
Cost
No attached med school
Global experience freshman year (not on main campus for first year)
I also have UPitt as another option
What do you guys think?

Cost isn’t the biggest factor for me per se. Especially if I get fin aid. Like the experience > cost but cost is one of if not the biggest pros for me to choose Rutgers

Since it’s in state I will prolly consider it a lot of a lot of my friends go

But I’ll need to do more research on these schools

unless if u can easily (and i mean like very easily) cover the cost for all of these schools it probably should be an important factor as a premed

#

other than that i would prob lean towards neu here (im obv biased) mainly bc premed ranking doesnt rly matter, so miamis main pro is weather. ofc if weather is major for u tho go to miami

so far out of all of these options, definitely rutgers. its an amazing university and fantastic for pre-med. being in-state gives u that lovely in-state tuition which is a +. if it is your cheapest option thus far, id go with it!
