ECs: HS Girls Tennis team, student council, Rho Kappa, Mini-Thon, Environmental Club, Rotary (Interact, also was won Rotary Student of the Month 😇) , Reading Olympics, Mental Health Awareness Club, looking forward to possibly being a member of NAACP soon

Leadership positions: Secretary of Rho Kappa, founder/president of the Mental Health Awareness Club, Vice President of Student council, Treasurer of Interact, Vice Captain of tennis team, Boys Tennis Team manager

Honors/APs + Scores: 4 on APUSH 2022, currently taking AP US Gov and AP Euro and will be taking AP Macro, AP Psych, APES, AP German, and AP Comp Sci senior year

5 Honors (mainly bc of pre-reqs to AP)

Classrank: Top 15% out of 248 so I’m guessing 25-37/248

Location/Region: Northeast, I prefer rural but I don’t mind urban that much either
Major: Psychology with a history minor + pre-med track 😇
GPA/Test Scores: 4.1w/3.7uw, predicted 4.3-4.4w by senior year, PSAT: 1160, SAT practice predicts 1300+ but i think I can get up to 1400 if I try
Curriculum: I’m pretty open! I love challenges 💅
Size: <10k
Costs: Definitely applying for financial aid, budget cannot be more than 50k

Additional: As a AA, I’d really love to see diversity! However, I am open to PWI as long as there is some type of minority population there! I also prefer liberal art colleges too as I am majoring in humanities :)) i also wouldn’t mind more competitive schools but im a little discouraged about my acceptance to them. I’d like to see German language being offered there to continue my fluency but it is not a major dealbreaker, just a minor annoyance.

There are plenty of people here who have been to some of these LACs so u could ask them more about fit and whatnot

Our tennis team is kinda underfunded and not really cared abt so they don’t really tell us anything

For a LAC

I’m going to be frank here

Most high school tennis players aren’t good enough for top lac d3 schools

#

The top d3 lac takes division 1 athletes

#

For instance I went to a top LAC with tennis and I received division 1 offers in tennis

#

For reference I’m ranked internationally at around 2590 and was top 30 in my country but the most important thing is UTR

#

An algorithm that gives you a score between 1-16 based on tennis results

#

I’m a 10 UTR which is enough for almost all d3 schools and some d1 schools with full scholarship

#

For girls you would need a 7 utr for the top lac which is similar to top 3500 in the world

i know a kid who got recruited who only plays like 3/4 singles and he was around top 150ish in the country

so if u don't alr know that you're gonna be recruited ur prob not gonna be recruited

Yeah that’s true and the thing is haverford tennis is kind of weak in terms of level compared to the top lac for recruits

But haverford is still really good at tennis and is better than almost every tennis team in division 3

Tbh I’m not sure if I even want to continue tennis into college

I’m not bad at it but I wanted to play badminton but my school doesn’t offer it

So I settled on tennis and I do ok
