his ECs are super concentrated/spiky around econ
mine are well-rounded but completely unrelated to math/physics/cs lmao
Which CYP did yall go to
Ooh how was it
I'm in between oiss and focus for my first choice, museums (Yale arts) for second choice
it's kinda useless if ur not an international
you mostly spend ur time making friends with other intls and setting up important things / going to semi useless talks
focus is more goal-oriented - you're helping out at a certain charity whilst learning about somewhat important things, but you're denied the time to set up, say, a bank account
I am
Here's the thing I can't make a bank account anyway, so might as well do another cyp
fair, and setting up a SIM is kinda easy
for me I also just liked having the time to buy the shit I needed
they literally take u on a target trip
moving everything in, buying stuff and organising your shit takes time and the lack of intensity of OISS made it rly nice
FOCUS is fun but intense
you won't have much free time
Ok I'll put ois as my first choice then ig
yale wl rejection 😔
does target size mean they're not taking anyone? or is it just a rejection
yeah
got the same
i mean they say they've reached the target size so they're done this year
Since it’s so early I think it just means that their class got filled
Same, I think they just reached class size
damn
it's alright i'm super happy w columbia
and pumped for the stanford/princeton wls (not optimistic, i just like getting updates 😭)
grad school lessgooooo baby
Lol I left yale so quick after opting in😭
I think there are 1650 freshmen this year
No 1649 actually lol
wow that's huge
Yo
That’s so small wtf
It's actually a lot compared to previous years
Yeah they sent all of us an email asking that we should consider taking a gap year lol
lmao what how did that go
thats really nice
Idk anyone personally who decided to take a gap year but I’d bet the total number of students doing such would be in the single digits💀
doing so in response to the email? probably single digits yeah
total? last year there were like 50 gaps
oh interesting
i think they do this every year
or maybe that's harvard
idk either way yield was a bit higher than predicted
i think the target student body size is 6200 which is 1550/yr, not 1650.
hopefully not enough to fuck up housing to the extent it got fucked for co24 and co25 but we will see lol
