why not? ut has a better rep in cs, biz, and engineering already, and for pre-med, you'd want to ideally go for the cheapest option. if you're full pay, i wouldn't say its worth spending +200k on Rice for nearly all fields

ut gives so little aid and a few from my school have already gotten full rides to rice

However, class sizes don't change proportionally to accommodate increased number of kids who are very likely to be accepted
