there was a very recent cutoff for the acceptance rate because IS is a relatively new program and they've stopped needing to fill the program, I think the acc rate is more like 17% now

i think if you really want to do business, cmu should probably be one of your choices, but not the first. business is also kinda just a weird undergrad degree in general. cmu does have pretty good outcomes for business consulting tho, we send quite a bit of people to deloitte. If you want to go tepper for the CS double, minor or transfer its kinda thonk too, but idk its definitely a path people try

uhhh idk really. ive meet a lot of people with varying skill level in cit. most people will have some strong grades and some sort of very good ec like internship/research/business/patent etc. but its not a strict requirement because ive met some people who definitely don't have that, its very hard to tell if getting into cit is really based on some measure of "toughness"
