yea, im international so since my dad has worked outside the US for 1 year on a work visa, I now only have to stay in the US for 1 year on an L-2 visa to be considered a resident. This means I only gotta pay OOS for 1 year. idk how it would work for OOS though since ur already a US citizen.

Also, I have a medical condition where I have to drive to sf (2hrs) many days a week, and because of this I’m having to drop the class from fall and spring (this semester) because of attendance. That’s why I “self studied”

I've lived in SD my whole life so I feel like I can touch on this. I feel like since UCSD doesn't have a very active sports scene, its hard to feel like there's a united sense of school spirit. It's in La Jolla, which is so pretty, but there's only so much to do there. BUT if you have access to a car, theres tons to do in san diego. If you join clubs and seek out a social scene, it isn't too hard to find. Everybody ik who goes there has said that if you put yourself out there, the social scene is enjoyable despite UCSD not being a party school.
