no, to my knowledge, financial need is cost of attendance - expected family contribution. they use whatever number you get to calculate your financial aid
No, total need is just that equation. Financial Aid would be how much they would reduce based off of total need.
The university expects your family to be able to contribute upwards of 35k, the 25k is the leftover money you need to pay. So you still gotta pay 60k in the end.

Yeah they have a really high rank. If you’re looking for the best university on your resume or a federal job, UMD might be good for you. BUT, if you’re looking for the best university experience and being in a university with a lot of events and things going around, I’d reccomend some big state schools like the ones listed above

So I have to assume the failure to receive it, or to associate it with my application, is on UMD's side. They also ignored my reply to their email (which was like a month ago) about this.
I don't think the interface for sending that score lets you "resend", though I tried. So there is nothing for me to do about it. Now my problem is that if I get into UMD, though that is unlikely, I will probably want to commit there. So I am stuck waiting. I guess I'll call them tomorrow or something.
