obviously it's different with your classes since they're solely FC section classes, but besides classes I've heard that it's chill

also it's not like you walk around campus with a sign that says "FC student" like no one will know unless you tell them

even non-FC students have classes that go into the evening

I would say the culture at umd is really great in that regard -- no one literally gives a flying fuck. like you won't be treated worse or looked down upon or anything.

this is facts. They HATE in state kids. A lot of kids I go to school with who are super qualified (applying T20 schools) got either denied or freshman connection at UMD. And its so frustrating becasue we are one of the only states where our state school doesnt want us. Compared to UT Austin or UNC where being in state goes a LONG LONG way in terms of admissions.

and you know you wanna work at MS

then the choice is obvious

things like that will help you make a final decision

but yeah don't go off rankings, especially when they're this close
