I got denied ED I from uChicago. For about two weeks I was heartbroken and deadset that I would transfer. I created a comprehensive plan to make it happen. About 3 weeks after I got denied, I realized something though. It doesn't matter as much where you are as much as it matters what you do. If you have no offers from schools that even remotely fit what you want from your college experience, then I would keep it on the table as a possibility for you, but the fact of the matter is that you are going to do pretty well no matter where you go. Being at the right university will give you that final +10% boost, but it's not going to change the trajectory of your life completely (necessarily). I don't know your situation, but I would give it a few weeks to reconsider if you REALLY want to upend everything at the University you were at just to be at CWRU. You won't have the normal freshman experience, and you will have a lot to reacclimate to, and that shouldn't be forgotten about.

Basically the formula for getting more merit aid is making it clear case is your first choice and you will attend if it’s financially feasible AND that you have an offer from another (peer or better) school for $xx,xxx making the cost of that school feasible.

Then, you don’t want to ask flat out for more scholarship. But rather if there are any opportunities for you to apply for scholarships or other options to help afford case.

So it’s gonna be tough unless Baylor comes through with a bigger scholarship offer
