It's pretty good. Parkside and the Village Cafeteria have to be the highlights. Couple years back they closed Cafe 84 which was up there and replaced it with a Starbucks (not enough to have 7 already). Everybody's Kitchen is decent but day-to-day there are hits and misses

Lots of menu variety. Last I saw on the cardinal meal plan it's AYCE and unlimited visits. There is a different Cafeteria for every segment of campus. Everybody's Kitchen caters to New North and Mark's complex dorms. Village caters to most everyone since it's basically the new center of campus. Parkside caters to grad students and Parkside dorms as it's more off the beaten path

I have personally never felt unsafe on campus, that being said we are in a major city so it’s important to have your wits about you. We do have a free lyft program though where every night from 6pm-2am you can get a free shared lyft within a 2.5 mile radius of campus so you’re never walking alone at night
