Based on what I understand about CMU (I did ED there) and UMich, UMich is probably going to afford you more of the college experience like they were saying. That being said, you really can't go wrong with either in terms of location, A2 and Pittsburgh are both lovely.

I can't speak to the business programs unfortunately, but I imagine that you aren't going to have trouble landing a job if you go to either one. Might be worth looking into your specific discipline within each of these to see if one has a specific program you might be really interested in.

hi!! i actually got into both Tepper and Ross, and the reason why I chose Ross was because

1. In the business world, Ross has more "prestige"
2. UMich has a "work hard, play hard" mentality, while CMU is just "work hard"
3. Ann Arbor is just a better college town than Pittsburgh (even though both are great)
4. Sports!!
5. UMich has a huge and loyal alumni network, makes it easier to get internships and connections
6. UMich is cheaper (for me)
7. Ross just gives you so many more opportunities than Tepper does
8. Ross has a starbucks :)
9. UMich has INSANE school spirit, i have not seen a single school with school spirit as high as UMich's

hiiii!! from what ik, not all ross clubs are ross only, but im going to be completely honest with you, id suggest not getting a BBA unless ur getting one at a "target school" because you won't be getting many opportunities with a BBA from a nontarget school (im assuming ur tryna go into IB)

If you don't get into Ross, you can always try to transfer first year, and if you don't get into Ross after that, you can always major in a LSA major that you find enjoyable, and go for a MBA in a great B-School after undergrad. From what I know, a MBA at a target b-school >>> BBA from a non-target b-school.

UMich also has an insane alumni network, even if you cant get into clubs and stuff, i think its much easier to break into IB due to the sheer size umich alumni, especially since so many people go into IB graduate from umich
