Absolutely not. i entirely look forward to hosting alumna interviews myself, and the one thing i've been told is that they're entirely random and just based off of accessibility of possible interviewers, not based off of performance of the interviewee!

it just means they didn't have as many interviewers in your area as they would have liked, but it doesn't influence your application whatsoever

mine for example happened to live 5 minutes away, they just like to keep them relatively local because they have a firmer understanding of your environment, school, et
