So one thing to remember is that law is an undergraduate course of study in the UK. It is also good to remember that moving a law education around can be hard
bro howd u take 12 a levels and 23 igcses wtf
did u actually sit the exams or mocks at home?
Penn
NYU
NYU probably wonโt give you aid
USC probably wonโt give you aid
Emory is good too but idk their aid
Same with georgetown
ikr
Actually sit exams ofc
no, like fr
took them over 3 sessions
just because.. i wanted to
private exams and some, whcih have coursework, i took with a tutor
me lmao
i did it to see what i liked, what i enjoyed, and what i would want to pursue
i had a lot of free time, as you can tell.
How so?
Alright. ive heard georgetown is good for law school tho idk
also, i took quite a few lang subjects so
idk why but i don't really like upenn
something is off about it in my opinion
Are all of your exams, including SAT and ACT accredited though? Don't want to sound rude but a majority of applicants apply with 5-6 A Levels maximum so your profile is definitely going to make schools raise eyebrows
yes, definitely
applied for all my exams through the british council
got my results through the british council
Ok that's fair
for alelvels and igcse of course
mhm
ive gotten that a lot though, so, its fine T-T
so, do you have any suggestions? sorry for sounding very curt
definitely going to make schools raise eyebrows
in a good way?
Well idk, considering you took double the number of subjects a usual person applies with, they might ask questions, but not in a bad way I suppose
if youre actually serious about taking all those subjects, give ur self a pat on the back cos wow
and you def made the british council rich cos exams aint cheap
but with those grades and number of subjects, you can probably get in almost anywhere in the UK
what a levels did u take out of curiousity
ah alright
ty lmao
really?
law
english lit
world lit
english lang
history
business
classical studies
french lang and lit
sociology
econ
accounting
information tech
very academia
probably yes, because theyre more grades-focused. You should apply soon though cos apparently some are rolling
yahh lots og humanities
just wow
i still cant tell if ur serious but damn
lmaoo a lot of people are like that
yeah i have a โจ passion โจ
all the ivy leagues will give you aid if accepted, theyre famous for it, so take a look
Yale has good food and I heard they have halal options, nice libraries with good resources. Not in a city
Upenn has the best business school in the states, wharton, so take a look at that. Its located in a city and has a nice campus
I think you should aim for the ivy league and oxbridge with your grades tbh. Especially ivy as they give full aid especially if you are low income
oh? thats good
slay, i will need halal options, and good libraries is a great plus
i honestly, as said before, dont like upenn. a college i will not be applying to, for no said reason lmao dfkjsd but ill think about it frfr /gen
im definitely low income so thats good
really? bro, thats great. tysm for the recommendations, i really appreciate it
im so happy i have a chance at the ivies
yes you do but make sure you write good essays. US is very essay-dependant so even if u have good grades, ur chances are very low if u have bad essays
npp
pog, got that. thank you.
also ucla has REALLY good dining hall as well, with halal options. theyre very stingy with aid for international students so its not a great option then
honestly in terms of income im pretty open since i have a sponsor and other scholarships coming in so ill definitely consider it
and really good dining halls is great
and very gorgeous campus and libraries
yeah
||if i didnt have an ed lmao||
oh? ive always thought oxford had the best campus, but this seems really good
STOP
most of the demographic in ucla is asian though, and gives of very undergrad vibe- am i right?
WHAT
inshallah youll be better in one year
inshallah
i think so
yeh, its very chill from what i can tell
studyquill goes to college there lmao
i also saw some vids on tiktok of nyu hosting suhoors in ramadan that looked very fun, so u can check them out. idk about aid though.
omg slay
whos that๐คจ
iftar will be so sad without family though
this studytuber
ah im checking her out now
cute videos
u should check out belle on yt as well, shes at harvard and has rlly nice vids
frfr
bella*
she stopped though, because jerks at ucla were acting as paparazzi at parties and shit and she felt stalked almost
omg tysm for the recommendations ill definitely check her out
most tubers nowadays have stopped posting- burnout is everywhere
ah that sucks, so many youtubers face this issue
yeah true
btw y are u taking a gap year?
just because, lmao. also, i was seriously considering pursuing an ibdp cause i love the curriculum and shit
bro its so good
but two more years of my life
fr it absolutely sucks
WHAT
WHAT DSJFD
u really love studying dayum
i always hear people hating the curriculum and wanting to stop, never heard anyone who loves it
fr thats true
but i love coursework
bro its a whole ass relationship now
did u do all ur a levels in the same year?
lmao, anything for the colleges ๐
u have dedication
no, i was a little psycho who did various a levels wih my igcses
im also homeschooled and doing a levels, and i sometimes feel like even 3 is a lot
brUh

this gap year got me thinking things bro
now im thinking of taking more alevels
younger than 16 lmaoo
well tbf i skipped two academic years so
i feel like im too late anyway
no ur not
i barely started my applications
send at least one
its fun
or write ur commonapp essay
.... i have
if u can get in, then youll have the rigor u want
ive written many of those um uc supplementary essays
at an ivy
bruhhhh
just for practice yknow
but the cornell typa rigor scared me tbh
nothing is scary for 12 a levels at once
should i? bro.. im scared
only the nets
also like, british unis were kinda my first choice, so, idk now
nothing to be scared of
u can still apply to british
i havent applied yet
lmaoo true but that was hoomeschooled
i dont think you can,, have you check r/sixthform

of course showing up is good

korean
japanese
pushto
french
latin
german
dutch
and im like.. kinda learning russian rn, but kinda
im learning russian too!
but are u fluent in them?
i think youll like languages since ur a humanities girl
took the igcses for what i could with my variant, and then, i took the aps for what i could as well
you're def right
Getting into the Ivy Leagues as an international student is like trying to run a marathon while wearing a backpack filled with bricks. Itโs hard enough to run 26 miles but doing it while weighted down must seem impossible.
BRO IM GOING TO CRY ONG
@lament furnace
sorry for the ping but like
๐ญ ** **
the fear
inshallah
which is ur dream school?
