Yeah
From which country may I ask
India
lol
hello :)
what do u mean u are international and from india ??๐
I thought relative to the USA
Do u even understand what this server is for ??
nah
Discussing college apps?
my bad
Nah
i just joined
This is for international students applying to universities in USA,Canada,Australia and europe for undergraduate,Masters and further eduacation
@quick dock
Ohhh ok.
U guys know each other @wind flame @quick dock
probably not the right place to ask this then, should have read the rules
Yes
Yeah lol. We met on another server and became friends like that
oh
alright, ty. I'll delete this post
You can ask but I'm not sure if you'll get a response quick, discussion here is mostly about us/UK
U are looking for good cs in inida right @quick dock
Try VIT,SRM AND LMNIT
LMNIT HAS MAINS QUOTA
VIT AND SRM HAVE THEIR OWN ENTRANCE EXAMS
U should also try wbjee and try for jadavpur university
Fuck PC crashed
I am not from wb, so is it allowed to write another state's entrance test?
Yeah
expected from u
No fr lol
yeah u are allowed to
anyways
Yeah lol
So, write kcet, jee, bitsat, vitee, manipal
is manipal any good
also do check out plo
panini linguistics olympiad
if you end up doing good enough, you could get into iiith, arguably the best college for cs in india(along w/ the top 5 iits)
that is tough though
if you do good in jee mains you can also get in here right
also add ugee
not good, but very fucking good
top 1000 air
That's like 250 marks?
it's still tough
yeah
i wouldn't place all my bets on it
vit vellore is very good for compsci
and manageable with decent prep(which i know you're already putting in)
i heard it's is very strict?
if i don't get above 10k air then i suck lmao
all that prep for nothing
idts you are even ranked below 10k
do you have any sample papers?
google's showing for juniors
Supposedly SRM, BITS, and Manipal are good
Ive heard it's really oversubscribed these days
matlab ki, way more ppl than seats
Allen moment
Used to, but just type plo iiith
You'll find a lot
Yes, too many people, but it's still considered very good for CS atleast, not sure about the other branches
VIT Vellore>SRM/Manipal/Other VITs
bhai agar ekh seat keliye paanch log hen to "very good" nahi kilwasakteh henh. All im saying is to be careful
i dont know the full details of VIT either
but u may want to consider the number of students and the resources available
As per NIRF fosho, but there are other factors to consider as well
I didn't consider nirf
It's not reliable
Bits is lower in terms of nirf
But it's clearly the best
Yeah, as far as reputation is considered
But dont just take reputation
Look at the actual course
U wont have any lack of jobs going to BITS
8k's the cutoff for VITV CSE, 2L people give VITEEE
Manipal/SRM's fairly easy
Vit may score low on the number of students, but the resources available are really good-coding culture, events, etc. I wouldn't quite say the same for the others
Compared to about 80k people who write SRMJEEE with a CS cutoff of about 8-9k~
And just over 50k people write Manipal i think
And what VIT did does seem somewhat rational considering the number of people who wrote VITEEE, if they lowered the cutoff to about 3k~, an applicant would most likely also would've gotten a NIT/BITS/IIIT
how tf do u know ๐ญ
Welp, I think I may be wrong in that case
Then how r u an int'l student? ๐๐
BITS too and Thapar Institute of Technology
