I’m an int’l looking to do art/design as a minor/double major, while being undecided (I want to try and see which fields fits me most). So i want to find non-art schools colleges with strong art/design programs.
Location/Region: Preferably city, or anywhere pedestrian friendly. Not too boring or expensive. Has interesting things to do around town.
Major: Undecided for now, but will minor/double major in graphics design/design-related majors
GPA/Test Scores (optional): GPA not updated yet, around >4.0. SAT 1410. IELTS 8.0
Curriculum: I love the open curriculum and huge variety of classes. I don’t mind it rigorous.
Size: Not sure. But prefer one that allows easy access to professors.
Costs: not sure yet. Prefer a tuition of <50k per year.
Schools you're currently looking at (if any): Brown, UCLA, CSU Fullerton, UCI, Stanford, UC Davis
Additional: I would prefer a college that doesn’t look like USC, or is not in an area that’s too hot (like Arizona).

I'd look into arts colleges like:
SCAD
FIDM
CalArts
I also just saw your point about looking at non-art schools:
NYU
UCLA
CMC/Claremont Consortium
UCSD
Thank you! Can i ask why you included the Claremont Colleges? It’s just that I haven’t seen it being mentioned much for its design programs.
I figured they'd have solid options across their multiple campuses and programs.
You'd also be close-ish to SD and LA, two of the best places for internships in the arts.
RIT?
VCU has good art programs but can be kind of warm in the summer depending on what your definition of hot is
would not advise for ones like FIDM etc. Those are very much for profit and just look to take your money and run away
for art/design the best choice is the lowest cost public option, such as a CSU so you don't end up in debt. Also commuting saves even more
