Location/Region: Fine with both Urban and Suburban, proximity to home isn't an issue, but I'd like to stay in the States. In terms of regions, Midwest and Northwest are preferable.
Major: There are a few I'm considering, mostly Biochem for Pre-Med or Kinesiology
GPA/Test Scores (optional): 3.73 UW, haven't taken SAT (I got a 1460 on the PSAT if that allows you to make any reasonable predictions)
Curriculum: I don't mind a heavily rigorous schedule, but I'd like a University that at least allows me a few hours a week to breathe.
Size: Doesn't matter to me at all.
Costs: Budget is 80k yearly, will likely not apply for any financial aid.
Schools you're currently looking at (if any):

  • University of Michigan, Ann Arbor (Reach)
  • University of Wisconsin, Madison (Hard Target)
  • University of Miami (Target)
  • University of Washington - Seattle (Target)
  • University of Pittsburgh (Target)
  • Ohio State University (Target/Safety?)
  • Rutgers University (Safety)
What other schools are you thinking of applying to? 3 reach schools: WashU + Northwestern + UF, Safety: Michigan State, Target/Hard Target: UC Davis, University of Georgia
Additional: No other factors, I just ask for any schools that can get added to this list, or if you'd like to help me reevaluate where I've placed any of these schools in the Reach-Target-Safety rankings. Thanks!

also when it comes to priority when allocating courses, a student said that people in washington who have next to no passion are given courses and out of state students are given final preference

#

idk how true this is

Carleton!! It's in the midwest, super happy student body, really good biochem/premed offerings. It's more of a reach than a target but not an impossible reach either

rapid patrol
#

also it’s really hard to get good grades as a pre-med at uw bc there are suuuuper harsh curves like 2.8 being the average for most pre med classes so keep that in mind
