I think, important part of community, is chatting in our language, about our topics and not forcing us to be superpositive about empty words about sunbath
This is NOT what this suggestion is about though, this suggestion is about a Q&A (Question and Answers) channel. Let's keep things clean please
A just react about what is another important part of community. Also... we have very good channel BEFORE Changes and it called GAME-CHAT. It was topic about GAME and Q&A about GAME. There was another topic, it was called CHIT-CHAT. Oh sorry I forget, we are doing changes without thinking about consequencies.
I did not make the changes, but I am trying to make things better with suggestions, that's more than you are doing. I don't spread negativity everywhere, I give suggestions for improvements and HOPEFULLY they will be heard
I understand, we have couple of suggestions weeks ago without any responce. Do you think, if you created this one something change? I will be very surprise
We won't know unless we try though... And as I keep saying, change takes TIME.. This is a big company, they can't just implement changes over night, they need to be sure they can support the changes first
Yes, changes takes time. This is the most important problem. After announcement discord changes to their realisation it took ONE WEEK .. this is 7 days. It is more than one month later which is more than 30 days and we are still angry, we are still missing something. Maybe they should think firstly, and than did changes.
Did you ever stop to think that the decision for that change was maybe made MUCH earlier than when it was posted (so without being announced)?
I come from a corporate world, and decisions are made at top levels a LOT earlier than the masses knows about them in most cases. So MAYBE the decision was made already 1 year before they posted the news, we will never know. But as the customers/consumers we have to accept sometimes top management decisions are made without considering the actual outcome (only theoretical outcome can be considered in most situations).
Ok maybe you are right, you should have a good excuse, why this decision was communicate to community managers about two days before they annouced this decision to players. From my point of view, this decision was made by hot needle, without any think about consequences.
And trust me, I worked 5 years in big corporate for few companies, and this types of decision usually come after changing high managers without any analysis of consenquencies or customer feelings. But they can ticked item from list... save one percent of money spending 😉
Thanks for the suggestion MiMz, a channel where players can ask and answer questions is definitely an option. For now, #🚂│game-chat can be used to ask and answer questions, but in the future that channel might be split into two if necessary. The same applies to everything after our "reset" to minimal channels. I doubt we'll see changes so close to the end of 2024 as many of our team and players are preparing for holiday season.
Just reopen the "players help players" channel. The announcement was it won't be deleted just not accessible anymore.
It's 1 click to open it again. And there is a lot of information in this channel.
And it honestly doesn't makes a difference if you have 200 message in 1 channel or 100 each in two channels.
To be honest it's easier to read in 2 channels because there are not that many cross messages.
So even less work for staff than put all in one channel
This Is big corporate. First they need to do changes. Then they need to do analysis, then analyse of conclusion of analysis. This two Steps Will take about 6 months. Then, they show analyse to manager. He Will do another analyse And after All about 1 year. Some person Will do one click on discord And help everybody.
Thank you for getting back to me on this suggestion.
I will add to the context that the reason why it has been suggested is because questions are getting missed in the channel you are referring to - We (the community) does not have a chat channel as per se anymore, so all the chat is also happening in there, meaning questions are drowned out (and no one likes to feel forgotten).
I honestly believe this suggestion I brought up should have a priority as soon as possible, to help both the RN team and the community function more efficiently. Thank you again 🤗
