Why do I only get activity points for some things like smashing rocks, gathering, etc.? I spend a lot of time taming horses (hours), feeding animals, collecting materials, exploring the map and emptying dirty barrels of water, but get zero activity points. Perhaps there needs to be a redo for calculating in-game activity.

Not when you do it manually. Takes hours to tame a gold horse and I have 900 taming.

To get the horse faster and to raise taming skills 🙂
And so I don't have to plunk stables down in the wild, far away from a base
I get 11k activity points for a few seconds of harvesting a field, and zero points for taming a horse for 3hrs

I will also add that when you have NPCs doing a lot of the crafting, you don't get the activity points from crafting those items.

In this game you gain most ACTIVITY points for afk crafting.
