Allow guilds to post about known insiders.

Create a channel where guilds can post about people who are kicked for insiding their guilds or causing issues within the game. That way the people who are doing so aren't able to do so again. Require proof of said action, screenshots and such, as well as discord name and IGN.

Ex:

IGN: I slave for gear
Discord: Shane
Kick reason: stealing (stacks of quenchant, 4 stacks of black iron ore, X amount of golden buff weapons and armor) from members chests for personal profit.

Screenshots provided of chest with audit log and message correspondence.

Even if there was a mark in game on someone's character that marked them as an insider or suspicious activity would be good. Something you could click on that could be past notes from previous guild leaders.

At the very least this should be a channel in the discord 👍 only problem would be that it would need to be proven with evidence or something. Else people could all just hate on someone 🤣 if you piss someone off then they could put your name in there 🤦‍♂️🤣

That's what I mean by proof. It can't just be word of mouth. Show logs, and conversation with person.

it would be helpful to have at least a political channel for each server cluster. Guilds/players could use it to post issues like this or to do recruitment or even list items for sale, etc

since the market search functionality is not very good

then we could have discord wars and guilds making demands and just be entertained with all the discord chatter

I think ideally this sounds nice but in practice wouldn’t be used effectively and could be used to be malicious on other players. Most of the time I have seen from admin perspective issues around insiding and such are communication issues and misunderstandings . Best for myth to stay out of that unless you open to false acquisitions and trying to make people wearing the scarlet letter for a misunderstanding

That's why it will be required to show proof of the actual in-siding happening. Otherwise I do understand that worry.

Showing proof of the stealing, the communication between people to show the whole picture is what will be required. If you have any other ideas on how to make it more robust and less likely to be abused. I'm all ears.

Issues happen in real life too with fake reviews, false accusations, etc. at the end of the day, it's all up to the person reading it to be the judge. Otherwise, if someone ends up on that list, they're there for a reason. We are also a pretty tight knit MMO community. We all know each other at one point or another from other MMO's. A lot of familiar names. If false accusations were filed against someone we all know to not be that type of person we will have doubts unless viable proof is there.

But when a person has guild hopped several times and the reason of being kick is the same every time. It's not hard to tell it's the actual person at fault.

Nothing is perfect, however having a heads-up that someone is or is possibly an insider. Or even someone who wouldn't be a good fit for your guild is helpful rather than accepting someone in who you don't know has been an issue in the past

How do we know if our suggestions will be looked at

I think they look at most of the suggestions. They won’t say anything most of the time. I know there was a couple that they added from suggestions that barely had responses but had tons of upvotes

if your not vetting people properly before inviting them into your guild and don't have a system in place to catch them then it's on you adding this channel would just create more drama most of these people would have multiple discords and have zero issue in deleting a char and remaking it if they needed too

To some extent but most guild leadership understand what it’s like. Most guilds with decent vetting systems have those systems in place because they’ve experienced some form of insiding. One of the issues in this game for example is that the permission systems are very clunky they are in depth but you’d have to set perms on every station box door etc to make it work as intended so much of the time I’d wager that many guilds don’t do that and just play as normal maybe having an admin room or something.

And may guilds who have played together in the past, be it this game or other, have their own list of people who are known insiders
