I would love to play this game but unfortunately I can not on the legion go. The steam inputs will not work and I can not control my character.

If the game is planning to come to console then why is console controls not enabled for pc?

if you get the game working with the Steam Controller input binding, we as players can also QA test our own bind layouts to see what works best

Steam Controller UI is a program you can use and its built in to the steam client its self.
But its gonna be trial and error but it will work with pretty much any controller and you can share layouts
