(Already spoken to Rico privately about this - but really hoping it can be addressed)

Steam is gonna blow a gasket.
Existing owners are gonna need to download a day 1 patch, others are gonna need to buy and download the game in full, whilst everyone is rushing to get into the server they want, all at the exact same time globally.
It's gonna be a 2011, american, black friday...

If we get release at least 1 or 2 hours earlier, this will considerably reduce congestion on steam servers globally.
Or as a presumably unpopular alternative, a delay on server start times.

Yea well if you make the server available same time for everyone , there will be huge load impact on servers since all the people want connect in the same time.

Yeah I have seen games with much less potential player counts cause major deadlock in steam servers, recently. And the influencers are gonna boost numbers even more.
Its not the Devs/Publishers fault, but steam are not super useful in this area. A smart staggered release compared to their server live time, would just solve this. (or at least alleviate it somewhat)

Yeah unfortunately, the way time zones are, its impossible to make the whole world happy.

But this is more to do with the release times on steam and server live times being identical.

Ya it’ll happen though either way.. it’d be nice if the game dropped and then servers opened a hour later to allow everyone to download the game and be on even play ground but it is what it is🤷🏽‍♂️

This is a great game tbh and allot more ppl know what they’re getting into rather than other game releases bc it’s been out before and allot of us have been streaming it/making vids as well

Steam wont offer "pre-download" on early access apparently.
However if the launch time is just earlier, it will serve as the same thing.

They could launch a couple hours before servers go live. But then you'd get thousands of illiterate kids wondering why they couldnt play yet.

As much as I would like to see the launch a bit before the servers to help with steam overloading and download speeds. You are not wrong.
