Hi, I definitely think you should focus on non-game stuff as well. For example, Wikipedia, which is an integral part of every sophisticated game. As one of the most used tools, it can make it easier for many new players to get through the game and help.
At the same time, a nice wikipedia is an attraction for players before they buy the game, therefore advertising.

So the MoE Wiki is actually on Fandom which for better or worse (and its for the same reason). Fandom tends to be "For the Community" and allows anyone to really edit it for the most part. rooSip

This is very much of "be the change you wanna see" kinda thing. Most wikis are not ran by their dev house or publisher. That being said if Angela Games/IIE want a REALLY good integration, look at Guild Wars 2. That game has direct wiki integration, keeping the in game descriptions short but all the trivia and patch notes are just a "/wiki {item}" command away

Though I HIGHLY recommend moving over to Wiki.gg
The site has less ads, runs nicer and so on

Better use other platforms, most big comunities have already migratted because fandom is trying to be something else than a wiki

Maybe I can shine a little light on that topic as someone who was heavily involved with the initial creation of the wiki.
Yes, updating the wiki through automated means would be perfect and the only way to avoid heavily outdated entries.
Unfortunately when we first filled the wiki we had no data to work with. It was actually done by watching though recordings from one of the first alpha weeks. Back then the developer/publisher wanted a Wiki for early access launch but basically didn't provide much apart from icons.
We did our best to future proof as much as possible but I think the wiki didn't get much love or attention post launch.

They can't even properly translate the game and you expect them to write a wiki in english? I doubt you will ever have wiki for the game unless you do it yourself.

Ha... you assume devs actually write their wikis 🙂
For the most part game communities tend to volunteer to write pages. For instance Fandom just gobbles up every IP to throw around the power of their and allow anyone to edit them for the most part...

A good example of a community wikia is the Terraria Wiki where 111 people work on keeping those pages up to date. Relogic (the devs who made Terraria) only have a team of 11 to 20 people.

For the most part if MoE wants a wiki, we would have to make it. Though it would be nice to have Angela Games or IIE have a contact to get some data to keep it reliable. But we might get that via the modding tools as well. My only plea is to move the MoE wiki from Fandom to Wikia for the feb launch. Wikia tends to be a lot more controlled (you have to add editors, in comparison to Fandom where vandalization is rampant), the ads tend to be more tame mostly being other Wikia games and static compared to videos and so on.
