Very lengthy CFOP solve cuz of the missed pair, and weird F2L

  1. small nitpick but for cross D R F’ D2 R2’ would’ve saved a move and is easier to fingertrick
  2. definitely fix your f2l solutions, most cases should be done in 7-8 moves and all of yours were above 10
    1st pair should’ve been U2 L’ U L y’ R’ U2 R (if you have to rotate put solved pairs into the back)
    2nd pair is a rare case where I think a longer solution is worth it (U2 R U’ R’ U R U’ R’ L U2 L’), but you made the orange green pair at the start then paused and kept going with a worse case which is not ideal
    3rd pair should’ve been U’ R2 U2 R’ U’ R U’ R2’ or U2 R U’ R’ U’ R U’ R’ U R U’ R’
    4th pair should’ve been rotationless by doing the standard solution then re-inserting the pair that gets unsolved (R U2 R2 U’ R2 U’ R’)
  3. start that oll alg with an R2’ so you don’t have to regrip twice

imo the best way to learn them is to mess around in untimed solves so you can try and understand how each solution works

intensely stares at my gan instruction manual that i have never used but has f2l algs in it

it's not a bad thing to consult a resource like scdb or bit.ly/bestf2l but try to understand why the solutions work so you can apply logic from one case to several others

if the f2l solutions are anything like the oll algs it is not a good resource, plus there's only 1 solution per case which typically isn't ideal

Update: I legit just barely did anything. All I did was during solves remind myself to look for each pair, and check if it was an optimal solution and my times have dropped by like, 2 seconds (i think that is an improvement)
